SPLINTERLAND:
Splinterland is the whole new Blockchain Gaming platform that builds upon the Hive Blockchain and the native token for this gaming platform is SPLINTERSHAD.
Honestly, I am a big fan of Blockchain Gaming and NFT but only Today I got introduced to this Platform because of college work I have been offline for a while so I think I get an excuse here.
In this topic, I will talk about my initial experience with the platform and why it is one of the best games that I have ever seen in the Blockchain ecosystem.
I am not going to compare it with the HTA-5 or other high-end games but I will share my honest opinions.
HOW TO GET STARTED?
The process is much easier right now. You just need to set up your hive wallet and log in with the hive key username. It will take less than a minute which was really fantastic for me at the beginning. If you are having a problem with this, then I read already many posts available for information, you use them as a reference or comment below, I will be more than happy to help you with that.
HOW DOES THIS GAME WORK?
This is the Blockchain-based game that simply means, everything you are going to plat will be recorded as the transactions into the Blockchain and will be secure on it. Every item that you own into the game will be NFT and just like the tokens they can be transferred, or traded into the market.
EXCITING FEATURES?
The first thing I will like to share here is the Challenge Option. Really? That was the best thing I have ever read on Blockchain Gaming. I can challenge my friend just by sending the link and can have a real battle with him in the Blockchain ecosystem. I haven't tried it yet as it is my first time here and my friends don't play SPLINTERLAND for now. But once they start, I will definitely go to crush them in the battle.
There is practice mood which we can use for practice and only it cost is the few transactions which I think don't cost any resource credit for signing into. I played practice mood for few times and the game went smooth although I was the loser.
For new users, how to play option is also there which can be really a handful.
There is BATTLE Modd for experienced users.
CARDS:
I found the concept of this similar to the Alien world but not at all. Don't get me wrong here because in an alien world we don't have to fight using cards.
In this game, one of the most important things is the cards and you can get them after buying the initial SPELL Book which only cost 10$. The surprising thing was that they are calculating the amount in fiat although they have their native token. This thing is ok for me because I am doing gaming here at least for now. There are multiple options including Paypal.
And after getting that spell, we can participate in the daily quest, compete for the season rewards, and many more.
LAND:
The land seems already sold but you can still get them from the marketplace which is the power of Blockchain Gaming because you can sell the in-game options in the real world. Basically, Land is useful for growing resources.
SKINS:
For those who love fancy skins and showing off, they can buy the skins and show them to their opponents while playing the battles.
DICE AND POTIONS:
Potions seem to be extra power for the players while playing and different potions have different powers accordingly as far as I got it. Please correct me If I am wrong here.
And talking about DICE, I don't see any information except it is sold out. So, You can buy them in the marketplace that's what I have got.
