This time I made a 3D model of Gelatinous Cube, but before seeing the results, let's talk about the stats and uses of this card.
Gelatinous Cube
This card has high health, and although it has no attack, it is reliable enough to be used as a tank (first position). With the scavenger ability that adds 1 max health each time a monster dies, this card may have +11 health over its original health (could be more if some monsters die again after being resurrected). At level 6 and above, this card also has the ability to heal, which makes it more sturdy. With that ability, this card is very useful during the noxious fumes rule. At the max level, this card also has void abilities, I've never used it but I think it will be very useful when fighting magic. Personally, I don't think this card is the best tank, but compared to other tanks, it's very cheap, I bought one for less than a dollar. The gold version of the card was even cheaper than a regular furious chicken. So I think this card has a good price to performance value.
Design Review
It's A cube.
3D Modeling Process
I started with a cube, added fluffy things around the corner and edge, and then alter the shape a bit, it probably only took 1-hour max. Then I made things in it such as weapons, and skulls. I have 3D assets for that, so this process also doesn't take long either. Lastly, I add a circle as a base, and the modeling is done.
In the picture above you can see the objects in it are visible from the transparent cube wall. However, these objects will not be visible in 3D printing results.
Rendering
Once done with everything I rendered it and here are the results.
I made 3 alternative images and I like the first one but the objects inside look blurry, while the others show the objects inside clearer. What do you think? which one do you like? I'm also planning to make a 3D model of another card, what do you think I should make next? Leave a comment.
