My Adventure Through Splinterlands - An Introductory Post

in #splintertalk3 years ago

Hello Splintertalk and to the whole Hive Community! This is my introductory post to share a little something about myself.

My name is Martin and I'm currently working in the financial sector. I got interested in researching and learning about cryptocurrency at the start of this year and I've been reading up a lot about them. I think that it's a disruptor and could possibly be the future of finance. I'm new to this blogging thing but it's something that I've been wanting to start with. Now that I am playing Splinterlands, I decided to start my blogging journey here in Splintertalk.

I work in the financial sector, but I have a bachelor's degree in Physics. I've always loved Science and it has been my favorite subject ever since I was a kid. It fascinates me to learn how the natural world works. How things around us works.

I like playing games on my phone. I like the mobility of it where I can just play anywhere and anytime compared to a PC, Laptop, or game console. I've played some popular games like Mobile Legends and Call Of Duty. And just earlier this year, I started playing Splinterlands. I like the idea of owning assets in a game that I'm playiing. And of course, NFT games are hot right now. A lot of people are downloading because of the play-to-earn model.

Splinterlands is the first card-based game that I've played. I'm really liking the strategy and how we need to setup our cards before we can start the battle. I like it when I've read the strategy of my enemy right based on the previous Splinters they've used. But sometimes it's frustrating when they seem to read my mind and have the exact Splinter that can counter my setup.

When I'm not playing games on my phone, I like to do some physical activities too. I like riding my bike, going to the beach, and playing basketball and football.

That's me riding my bike and taking it to the beach. I like being around water. I like seeing the blue color of it and sound of its splashing. But when it comes to my Splinters, I like using the Life and Earth Splinters.

That's a picture of the beach near our homewtown. Since it's still pandemic, I ca't go out as much as I want. That means more time to play for me. And since I am staying at home, I might as well start blogging since it's something that I've always wanted to do.

Splinterlands has a wide community. I've joined the official discord channel, here in Splintertalk, PeakMonsters, MonsterMarket, and PeakD. Since blogging is something that I can do here. Might as well contribute to the community.

I've been reading blogs of others here and I've learned a lot about Splinterlands. From strategies for beginners, to different setups, and how to get out of the bronze league. I've written a blog about SPS Management myself, and I know it could do some improvements. Hopefully, by consistently writing here, I get to improve the contents of my blog.

Until next time!
