Last weekends' Dai’s Super 6 predictions produced 4/6 winners, sadly missing out on the accumulative 8/1 return. As a quick reminder, here’s what I predicted:
Game | Prediction | Result | Won/Lost |
Arsenal v Liverpool | BTTS | 3-3 | ✓ |
PSV v Vitesse | Home Win | 2-1 | ✓ |
Napoli v Sampdoria | Over 2.5 Goals | 3-2 | ✓ |
Peterborough v Bury | Home Win | 3-0 | ✓ |
Real Madrid v Barcelona | BTTS | 0-3 | ✕ |
Kilmarnock v Rangers | Away Win | 2-1 | ✕ |
As I suspected, the Real Madrid v Barcelona game didn't disappoint us neutral spectators. Madrid had plenty of opportunities to score themselves (hitting the post towards the end of the first half and wasting a number of opportunities). The red card early in the second half also didn't help their cause, and I suspect all associated with the club may see this as the day they fell out of the title race.
As for Rangers, they have an uphill battle now to rescue their season (succumbing to a second shock defeat in two successive weeks). Throwing away a 1-0 lead to a team struggling at the bottom end of the table will leave a sour taste in the mouths of the faithful. It'll be interesting to see whether new management has an instant effect on them.
This weeks predictions will be made over the next 48 hours. Please feel free to follow me to receive my latest blogs and predictions.
