Arsenal News HQ brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the world.
Arsenal are still keen on French duo Kylian Mbappe and Thomas Lemar, according to Sky Sports Kaveh Solhekol.
Wenger has already signed Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette but he is apparently looking to add three or four new signings before the start of the seasons.
And top of his radar is Monaco duo Mbappe and Lemar. Sky Sports jounalist Solhekol made these claims on Sky Sports news on Monday.
“What about incomings at Arsenal, could they bring in more players?” Solhekol said on Sky Sports News, as quoted by the Express.
“They’re still in for Thomas Lemar from Monaco and they haven’t given up on a big-money move for his team-mate Kylian Mbappe.
“PSG are willing to give Mbappe a pay rise of more than 1000 per cent.
Lemar is Wenger’s top target to replace Alexis Sanchez who is pushing for a move away from the Emirates and the Gunners have already had two bids rejected for the winger but that hasn’t deterred Wenger who is growing increasingly confident of signing the 21 year old.
It’s being mooted that a fee of £53m will be enough to snap up the winger from Monaco, which would slightly exceed the club record £52m we paid for Lacazette last week.
Mbappe is another who features highly on Wenger’s wishlist. Club chiefs believe he would have the same impact as Thierry Henry and are determined to bring him to the Emirates should he decide to leave Monaco. We have reportedly had a £95m bid rejected already but are willing to go beyond the £100m mark to sign the 18 year old.
Getting both players will see Arsenal smash it’s club record deal thrice in one summer.
