You are absolutely right.This is one of my main reasons why I never competed as a professional.Once you are done with your career,there is a lot of health issues to deal with to the rest of your life.

I think it depends on your fighting style. If you're a banger type of fighter who loves to swing toe to toe with your opponent every time you have a fight, then health issues may really occur. But if you are a smart fighter , like the wrestling type fighters for example then your carreer will be smooth. Plus it's the passion that makes them continue their martial arts journey to the highest level.
Wrestlers have more injuries than anyone else,I think,at least that's what I see.Plus passo itself can't feed my family,but I get your point!
