This is the week 12 report of the LaLiga Santander. Today, we look into what happened in the LaLiga Santander week 12 showdown.
We shall quickly run through all the games that went down in this match week.
We begin with the kickoff game which began with Espanyol entertaining Valencia. It was an entertaining game that showed how much needy Espanyol can be but their ambition was overpowered by Valencia's lack of backing down from a fight.
Valencia ended up picking all points from this matchup. 1-2 it was.
To the upset of the week, Levante made a statement in the LaLiga Santander by beating Barcelona not by 1 but by 3 goals to 1. It all happened very fast and Barcelona were unable to understand how it all went down.
At home, Sevilla were unable to set a difference between them and Atletico. A 1-1 draw was enough for the visitors to go back home with a point.
Same fate befell Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu as they also failed to displace Betis. A barren draw was the only thing they could settle for.
Real Valladolid had a beautiful game at home against Mallorca. 3 unreplied goals were all they need to ease pass Mallorca.
Villarreal were held at home to a barren draw by Athletic. Villarreal pressed hard in this matchup to get a win but Athletic won't stop throwing themselves in the ball's way to prevent a damage that may not be rectified.
Match week 12 results
Goals everywhere in this game between Osasuna and Alavez. Both won't stop scoring in this matchup but one was able to score more than the other. 4-2 it ended in favour of the home team Osasuna.
Getafe, Eibar, and R. Sociedad were slim chance winners over Celta, Laganes, and Granada respectively. Getafe who played away from home against Celta, grabbed a slim chance to get the ball passed the keeper to take all three points back home.
Eibar also were away from home to grab a 2-1 win over Leganes. It wasn't an easy one for the visitors but they were able to make use of the chances they created.
Lastly, R. Sociedad were fortunate enough to beat Granada who have appeared to be stubborn so far this season. A win away from home is a good hit point for R. Sociedad.
