Roma - Serena Williams will not make a comeback yet. The former queen of the queen announced her retreat from the Italian Open, held in Rome, next week.
Serena backed out because she wanted to improve her training, ahead of the French Open. The 23-time Grand Slam winner has not returned to his best performance since giving birth to his first daughter at the end of last year.
Comeback Serena in the competitive arena marked the defeat in the early round of Indian Wells 2018, then collapsed in Miami Open's first game. After that, Serena chose to miss the Madrid Open, and now in Rome.

Serena four-time champion in this tournament in 2002 (vs Justine Henin in final), 2013 (vs. Victoria Azarenka), 2014 (vs Sara Errani), and 2016 (vs. Madison Keys).
Serena's venue will be filled by the compatriot, Catherine Bellis. While the tournament was held from 14 May.
