LONDON (Reuters) - Manchester City player Riaz Mehrez is on the verge of moving to Manchester City for £ 60m (£ 79m), English press reported on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old was instrumental in Leicester's 2015/ 2016 Premier League title, and in the same year he was voted the best player in the English Premier League by player vote and the 2016 African Player of the Year according to the continental federation of the game.
Riyad Mehrez will undergo a medical examination this week pending the deal, with the Manchester City team crowned last season seeking to sign the player in the winter transfer period without agreeing with his club on the price.
Mehrez moved to Leicester in 2014 from France's Le Havre for only £ 400,000.
Leicester's contract with James Madison of Norwich City for 24 million pounds.
This makes him more willing to give up.
Lesterchetti had been in the league for 179 games and scored 48 goals, including 17 in the league.
Riad Mehrez will become the most expensive Arab player to beat Mohammed Salah, who joined Liverpool in a deal worth about 39 million pounds in 2017.
