It's not an easy stuff having a shunt. I crashed out about seventeen times (some on rallies, some on training, and some in regular traffic). But we are talking about shunts on rallies/races. Key thing is to have a good mechanics in your service. With the right service crew and possibly if you and your co-driver have some knowledge about car repair, it's much easier. I was lucky, only one roll in my whole rally career (from 2001).
When we talk about professionals and works teams, it's totally different planet. I found a video from Cyprus Rally with Colin McRae driving Ford Focus WRC crashed more then ones to look like a pick-up. Look at this and collect a knowledge.
