Gianfranco Cunico is Italian rally driver who won Italian Rally Championship for a three seasons in a row: 1994, 1995, 1996. He also scored one WRC win on Sanremo Rally in 1993. It was really surprising win because he was privateer then.
In the eyes of the rally teams that achievement was even bigger because of this. It's really rare that privateer win something on a World level.
Last time I heard for him (beside Rally Legend participation) was more then 10 years ago when he was driving Renault Clio Super 1600.
It's really strange that Cunico never had an opportunity to drive for some works team and to show every skill he had behind a steering wheel of a rally car.
