After officially joining Pep Guardiola's squad with a transfer fee of 26.5 million pounds, the Brazilian defender Danilo will surely wear the number 3 shirt at Manchester City.
The 26-year-old signed a five-year contract at Etihad and became the second-holder of both Manchester City, following Kyle Walker brought in from Tottenham Hotspur.
Menchester Evening News reported, City confirmed the number of backs to be used by Danilo where he will take the number 3 from Bacary Sagna who left City this summer on a free transfer.
Walker himself will be wearing number 2, while center back John Stones takes the number 5 jersey left by Pablo Zabaleta to West Ham.
