Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone emergency surgery after a brain hemorrhage, the club confirmed.
Fergie's son Darren, who is the manager of Doncaster Rovers, must miss his team match against Wigan Athletic on Saturday (5/5), because of the affair.
"Darren asks for privacy, and will provide further developments to the club during the week," the statement said on the Doncaster page.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils confirmed that Fergir, who trained for 27 years until his retirement in 2013, was hospitalized.
"Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone emergency surgery today for a cerebral hemorrhage," United said.
"The surgery procedure works really well, but it takes time for intensive care to optimize its recovery, and the family asks for privacy over this issue."
