The playoffs are here and we have the ultimate showdown for the conclusion of the 2017 NFL season!
The Steem Fantasy Football League and the Winner-Takes-All contests for the regular season have been decided. But who's the best game and fantasy player picker in all of the Steem land? Who will take home the grand prize and all of the football bragging rights? We're about to find out!
The top-12 contestants from the SFFL and the top-8 contestants from the WTA will all face off in the NFL Playoff Challenge over the next five weeks. Here's how it will all work...
Contestants
The following Steem users have qualified for the playoff:
Registration
In order to participate in this playoff, you will need to sign up for the NFL Playoff Challenge and enter the password for the Steemit.com group. To receive the password for the group, please contact me (ats.david), @bigpchef, or @sevinwilson on steemit.chat or via some other reliable and private way to reach us (Discord, e-mail, etc.). This needs to be done as soon as possible, as the playoff games begin on Saturday afternoon.
Prizes
The total pot for the playoff has not yet been set, but it will consist of post rewards and donations, as usual. The final distribution to all playoff contestants who participate will be as follows:

You must register and participate in each of the four game weeks in order to receive the prizes. Any unclaimed prizes will be distributed to the remaining participants.
How does the NFL Playoff challenge work?
Having participated in this fantasy contest last year (and taking second place in our Steem group!), I can tell you that it's a fun challenge. The key to winning is choosing the best players on the best teams. The idea is to select players on teams that you believe will be playing in the Super Bowl, as weekly points are doubled, tripled, and quadrupled based on how many weeks you have selected the same player.
For example:
If you choose Tom Brady as your starting quarterback during the Wild Card week and the Patriots make it to the Super Bowl, you could receive Brady's point totals for the Super Bowl...times four. If he earns 25 points for the game, you would receive 100 for your playoff fantasy team for Super Bowl week (in addition to the 2x points for the divisional playoff week and 3x for the conference championship week).
"But the Patriots aren't playing a Wild Card game. Should I pick someone who's playing this week?"
You can - and if their team makes it to the Super Bowl, you'll stand to gain a lot of points as well. But if you think the Super Bowl teams are watching from home this week, you'll be better off in the end by choosing players from those teams and winning the 4x bonus for the final week.
It should make for an exciting finish and I hope we can achieve full participation!

It's kind of f'd up because Tuck's team was actually wicked but almost every week whatever team he was playing against would have the best week of the season and just beat him.

Things like this being on steemit is just interesting . It is like a cold ice cream enjoyed on a hot day of summer . It distracts you from stress and take a time for yourself .

Can I get in the fantasy football league next year? I am in the poker league.
It's open to everyone. We actually had to create three leagues to cover everyone who wanted in and a few still missed out because they were late to the party.
Next season, we'll probably use a different platform for it and we'll be sure to get the word out earlier. If you're in the SPL room on Discord, I'm sure you'll hear about it.
