Liesbeth Leysen top at 70.3 Taiwan

Liesbeth Leyssen and Wim De Voeght search a bit farther for a race last weekend. Both Domo-Scott athletes took part in the 70.3 Ironman at Taiwan. At Taitung City, South-East side of the island, they both performed outstanding. Liesbeth came 14th overall, 4th AG woman and victress in her AG.

Wim De Voeght is not the youngest among the athletes, allowing him a spot in the M50 category. Finishing in 5hr31'12 he came 250th overall, 19th in his AG. The Canadian Cody Beale was the fastest man in 3hr46'39, Filip Azevedo came second, Tim Van Berkel third.

Liesbeth Leysen had a strong bike leg on the the beautiful 70.3 Taiwan course. After a 35'24 swim she started her great overtaking. A 2hr33'46 biksplit was followed by a 1hr42'11 run, finishing in 5hr00'50 and 14th overall. In the F45 category she was twenty minutes faster than the runner-up. Polish Agnieska Jerzyk won the female race in 4hr21'21, ahead of Lesley Smith and Laura Dennis.

Raphael Schlussel came 812th in 6hr32'41 and John Wauthier 86th in 4hr56'07.
