'Triple G' is the moniker for the former silver medalist, and arguable greatest amateur boxer of all time. His name is Gennady Golovkin and if you don't know him this week, you will know him the next. He is a feared power puncher who only knows how to finish. He hadn't, not, finished a man in the ring since 2009...that was until his prior fight in which he fought a former champion who was very overweight for their title matchup. Triple G's power is mythic, he hits like a truck.
I see both of these men as powerhouses of the current boxing era. Each man's nation respects the opponent, they realize it is better to take the side of the knockout. This could be fight, or finish of the decade depending on the route either man takes. I can see both men landing a big shot and ending it early, I can also seeing a war of attrition between two unbreakable bulls. I look forward to this fight more than really anything else this yeare and we are finally days away...
