Today I am sad to report that one of my favorite Denver Broncos has officially been cut and has now signed with another team. Bennie Fowler never got a real shot to win the job here in Denver in my opinion. Always playing in the shadow of the under achieving Demarious Thomas and Manny Sanders, Fowler came up with some big plays in critical times during his playing days here.
On Friday, Adam Schefter announced that the current Broncos & Former Michigan State wide out will change his blue and orange uniform colors. From the Mile High City to the Windy City. Bennie Fowler will now be joining the new look Chicago Bears.
I will always remember Bennie Fowler's contributions in the Super Bowl run during the 2016 playoffs. He had a huge catch on third down against the Pittsburgh Steelers that kept their drive alive and allowed us to get deep into the playoff hunt. To me he seemed like a "poor man's Demarious Thomas" as he has similar size but not quite as fast.
The biggest play he had in the postseason for me was his two point conversion catch from Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl against the Carolina Panthers.
I'm sad to see Fowler leave Denver but I think in Chicago he will finally get an opportunity to show what he can do as a wide receiver in this league. Chicago only gave him a one year contract but if Fowler is the player I think he is, he will probably be there for more year to come. Good Luck Bennie Fowler.....I'll always be a believer in you and your skill set. You were the safety blanket for me to always call for shipping DT and his butterfinger hands and non clutch play out of the Mile High City.
Such an athlete and huge loss to our Broncos...but at least he's not playing for the Raiders now. See ya in pre-season Fowler!
The WR position is one that I think we have been dropping the ball on for several years. Demarius has some good years and I like Sanders but we really havenβt drafted well at the position. I thought Fowler had a lot of potential as well, Cody was supposed to be an amazing prospect. They thought they got a steal picking him and he has been a grade A bust!!! Something has got to change because we keep rolling the same thing out there year after year. I am really hoping that Keenum is going to rejuvenate Thomas and we will all look back and blame the poor QB play. This is a big year ahead for this group. Not long till the draft!!!! Go Broncos!!!
I hope your right because I have little faith in DT for the loot he makes. Flower could do just about everything DT could do. DT don't break enough big plays when he has the ball for me. He gets caught or pushed out of bounds inside the ten yard line a lot and we end up with FG. The greats always score.
Fowler balls up when he gets a shot. I'm a big MSU fan and I live just South of Chicago, so I'll be very interested to see how this move turns out.
He dropped the game winner in TN and it went threw his hand and hit him square in the face mask too! I really think he's a good player. I hope he starts at some point because I wanna see what he can do week in and week out.

Sorry for your loss broncnutz. Tough to lose a player you see potential in but the team never gave him a fair shot. Im a big laker fan and I'm hoping that we retain Julius Randle this off season who is an unrestricted free agent. I think they're making a mistake if they part with him.

They should have got rid of Thomas. I'm with you on that one, Thomas always seems to underachieve but for some reason the Broncos refuse to give up on him.
Dallas finally learned their lesson and cut Dez. He's been slipping the past few years. Dez can help some teams, but he isn't a number one receiver anymore. He needs a top qb to feed him the ball the way he likes, he can't make adjustments for shit.
Bennie Fowler is one of the gem of Denver Broncos. He did really well in the last year for Denver Broncos. But the game run in different way. Every player has a time. Player come and go their memory remain forever. Leaving of player give an opportunity to perform new player and make their name in the history. I played Bennie Fowler a few times last year in DFS as a low-cost, high-upside type of player. Always seemed like he was minimum price on sites like Draft Kings, and I kept hoping for a cheap touchdown from him. He never really delivered as expected, but I blame the Broncos QBs for that! Will be interesting to see how he does in Chicago.
love to have him in a bears uniform, I really hope Thomas and Sanders stay and the new qb chemistry gets going fast! That team was unstoppable in the super bowl run, seems like piece by piece is falling off. Will they sign Dez?
