Blockchain technology is powerful, and I find myself constantly in thought on new applications that can help mankind and decentralized society. Someday soon I think we will see the ticket process to attend events be on a blockchain making the swap of seats and purchasing of event tickets more secure and with less fees. This should make the fan experience even better. Who will be first to do it?
I know there is one coin which is already working on ticket problem last year. I am sorry I forget the coin's name.

Right on @broncnutz. Great post. I've been contemplating with @liotap about this as well (being season ticket holder for the LA Kings and getting screwed selling threw Stubhub). So your proposal solves issues for both buyers and sellers! We need some smart computer nerds to work on this.

LOVE this perspective! There are so many folks focused solely on cryptocurrency, but the way my mind is setup I had to get more involved with understanding Blockchain and Smart contracts. I totally agree this would be an awesome idea. I spoke with a lady who company wrote a smart contract on the blockchain for flight delays!!
So I am ALWAYS interested in the many uses of it and how it expands its reach far beyond cryptocurrency when it comes to potential uses etc. Thanks !
OMG!!! This would be brilliant. I try to come down from Canada to see an NFL game every year and it can be a nightmare trying to find a good seat at a decent price through the ticket exchanges. Then, there is always the option to buy through “other” means like craigslist or similar self sale sites. This always comes with HUGE risk because you can’t be sure if the tickets are valid or they want cash before tickets etc... having this on the blockchain would fix all of this!! It would eliminate the grubby fingered middle man and you could apply better guarantees to what you are getting. I think you are onto something and we need to find a developer to make this happen!!! Damn, each team could even set it up using SMT’s!!! LOL. Can you imagine the price of Steem if the NFL did this. Or any blockchain that could convince the NFL to partner up on a deal like this. Moonshots galore!!!

To me the quickest use that could be instanteous is the lottery. National lottery where you can't fake ownership of winning ticket. Plus, the government could make it decentralized so everyone knows the money generated by the system goes to the need it supports.
That's a good idea for sure! Plus it makes it easy to collect and stay anonymous.
Your right. If it was done by the government they could even classify it as tax free. These are the type of projects that could eliminate corruption and benefit all who participates.
It will eventually come to the NFL. I read somewhere that a tech company wants to incorporate blockchain technology with wearable techs to improve athletes performance.

This is a possibility, I see crypto currency come into everything, from the purchase of cars down to the purchase of cigarettes in stores. This is a good innovative, you should be the pioneer of this cause it’s your idea . Apps that allows one to buy tickets using crypto currency. Wow, crypto currency is the future my friend
this would be a great leap to a more modern and comfortable process to attend a game, until you can pay for it with a cryptomoneda would be fabulous, an innovative idea that would be interesting to see how they apply it.

Definitely think that there's a blockchain solution here @broncnutz ! The problem, as I understand it, is that too many unscrupulous people/bots buy up tix as soon as they are released to the public, with the sole intention of marking them up and re-selling later to create an artificial market. It's almost like there needs to be "proof of fandom" (instead of "proof of work" or "proof of stake") for anyone who wants to buy a ticket. In other words, you shouldn't be allowed to buy up Broncos tix (and re-sell later) if you're not a true Broncos fan.

NFL is money-making organization. Nothing else. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE THE GAME, but this thing they do with prices of tickets and charges later, that's outrageous!
Imagine giving salary to a player in Bitcoins haha that would be so amazing! I think blockchain would eliminate those leeches that get money for doing almost nothing...

Paying for tokens in advance? Sounds like a time share for yearly events. Interesting idea. Problem is that stubhub and those companies charge the high fees not because of the overhead but because of the demand.
Well if you are heavily investing in a team or even as broad as a sport and the sport or team is doing well the team will usually raise the ticket prices. If you invested in the token the price rise does not affect you. If a team makes bad decisions or like the NFL and National Anthem last year, you could sell your future intrest in the token that buys the ticket or whatever. I got a feeling someone will do this someday. I don't know how to put it together to make it make sense for all parties involved but I'm sure there is a way.

I think it is an excellent Idea, but nevertheless people want to earn a quick buck, so they will find another way to rip you off in some way. Here in Holland the same, all those additional costs with tickets, it's (imho) robbery....
Blockchain can embrace a lot of things we do. NASA and others organization on diverse fields are adopting this technology.
There are projects destined to marketing, entertainment and even to help refugees of war. It's a matter of time sports do the same.
Progress makes its own way. It cannot be contained. And It eventually drag us all, making people adapting to new trends.
