Andreas Pereira has confirmed that the heated discussion between Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and manager Jose Mourinho was down to a misunderstanding over an Instagram video.
Mourinho was filmed asking Pogba something during a training session, with the player getting involved in a conversation with his manager before running off.
It was believed to relate to a video posted by Pogba the day before, as United lost to Derby in the Carabao Cup.
Pogba was dropped for the game and was laughing and joking with Luke Shaw and
Andreas Pereira in the stands at Old Trafford during the game.
The argument came after Mourinho had told Pogba he would never captain the club again, which was in response to Pogba saying United should 'attack, attack, attack' at home.
But now Pereira has cleared up what happened.
He told Brazilian outlet UOL: "We were winning the game 1-0 at the time of the video"Then we lost the game, and people said that Pogba posted later. But he posted before.
"The manager thought that Pogba had posted later. He asked him why that had happened. There was a mood about it. These things were out here in England. But I have nothing to do with it."
Pereira insisted Mourinho has a good relationship with his players, and said the squad are fully focused despite pressure from fans and the media.
"The relationship is good, it’s cool. I have a very good relationship with him, with the players and he also has a good relationship with the players.
"We don’t feel that pressure coming from outside. Everyone says that he’s being sacked. We do not feel that.
"I don’t usually have any English media on my phone so I don’t get intoxicated with everything they say.
"He’s our manager, we give our life on the pitch for him and for us too. Everyone is very calm, very focused and very happy".
