RE: NBA'S Real Problem

in #sports7 years ago

The real problem with the New NBA is that most of these "New Stars" are scared to earn their titles and are scared of competition. Jordan and guys like Isaiah Thomas had to earn their way to getting that ring. Free Agency allows guys to pick and choose where they want to go.

One reason why players are moving in the NBA that no one is talking about is the influence of the shoe companies. KD moving to GSW was two fold. 1) It allowed KD to go to a team that was already a winner and would boost their chances even more. 2) Nike wanted to put a high profile client in the market where Steph Curry was gaining followers. The former NIke client was boosting UA sales and his shoe was starting to take off. Nike inserted KD to pull interest away from Steph and also gain the market. Did it work? Well lets just say the GSW won a title and UA and Steph Curry flame has dwindled almost out. Shoe sales for Curry have stalled and UA stock is free fall.

I hate how free agency has almost made the NBA hard to watch with the "Super Teams" but reality is no one wants to be the Charles Barkley or Patrick Ewing of this era, superstars who never was able to get to the mountain top!
