Here are the Current Heisman Trophy front runners in order. This list will most likely change in the future but if the Heisman voting happened now this would be the result.
5. Sam Darnold (USC) - QB
Sam Darnold had a lot of Heisman trophy hype coming into the season. After a shakey first game we saw the elite player which is Same Darnold come out and destroy Stanford. Darnold had 316 yards and 4 touchdowns against the Cardinal last Saturday. He is looking like the player we thought he would be at the start of the season and now the USC Trojans are a force to be reckoned with.
4. Saquon Barkley (Penn State) - RB
Saquon Barkley is obviously one of the best Running Backs in the country and he is a weapon. Barkley has 260 yards and 3 touchdowns this season. Barkley is a really fast and powerful runner and he can be a weapon as receiver as well. Saquon Barkley is a powerhouse runner that defenses will have trouble defending against.
3. Josh Rosen (UCLA) - QB
Josh Rosen is so far is having one of the best seasons any player could dream of. Firs he pulls off the second biggest comeback in college football history against Texas A&M. Now he absolutely destroys Hawaii while only missing 3 out of 25 passes and attaining a career high of 5 touchdowns in one game. UCLA and Rosen are on a roll and firing on all cylinders.
2. Lamar Jackson (Louisville) - QB
The previous Heisman winner Lamar Jackson is still absolutely killing it. He is the backbone of the Louisville offense so whenever he plays well his team does well. Against North Carolina Jackson had another Heisman worthy performance. Lamar Jackson had a total of 6 touchdowns and 393 passing yards and 132 rushing yards. This is how he won the Heisman Trophy last year but if he keeps on performing like this he might win it again.
1. Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma) - QB
Baker Mayfield is number one in the Heisman race because off the major beatdown he put on Ohio State. Mayfield threw for 386 yards and 3 touchdowns to kick the crap out of the Ohio State Buckeyes who were #2 in the country. He might not have the most yards or touchdowns but his win was very important for the result of the college football playoffs.
Sam Donald! Did you see his performance against Stanford? Stanford is a 10 ten team. He has proved himself against real competition unlike every other entry.
no I disagree Baker Mayfield beat Ohio State who was number 2 and Sam Darnold beat Stanford who was 14 and hadn't played anyone good yet
