Driver Standings
With this weekends race making the 72nd time in Britian, what can we expect to see in the race results? Valtteri Bottas will come in to this weekend with a very high moral. Last weekend at Austria did he not only achieve his second pole position, but his second win this year after the Russian Grand Prix. Bearing in mind he only joined Mercedes earlier this year after three years with Williams. In March he said:
The new man at Mercedes accepts that his team-mate Lewis Hamilton ‘is one of the best’ but says he is ready for the fight after replacing Nico Rosberg - The Guardian
For Lewis Hamilton this is his home town race and after not looking too happy after last weeks race, can we expect him to fight extra hard this weekend? He is 20 points behind the Drivers Championship leader, Sebastian Vettel. Vettel has been in front steadily since after the second race when he was tied with Hamilton on points.

Constructors Championship
Mercedes and Ferrari have been neck in neck since the beginning of this season, slowly leaving the others behind. Thanks to the stunning efforts by Daniel Ricciardo with his 5th consecutive pole finish after last weekends race, can Red Bull move comfortably into the third position in front of the Force India. Or can they? This is Force India's home race as well, as their factory is just across the road. Coming into this race with a new front wing and new details to improve the front airflow, will Force India be a force to reckon with?
