So recently, my twins and their team were in a soccer tournament. And they happened to beat the supposed strongest team. It was a two day tournament and my kids` won against them 0 -1 on Saturday.
The kids were celebrating and so were the parents. But then early Sunday morning, we received a group message from our teams coach stating that we had to play against the team again. All the kids and parents found it strange but of course the team went ahead with the schedule.
On Sunday, during the second match with the team, it was a draw. No penalty kick or overtime just time to give out trophies. And guess who won the tournament? The team our kids beat the day before and a nil game on this day.
So my kids team ended up winning the second place trophy and everyone was left wondering WTF is this shit!!!!
So the coach of the other team seems to have the power to put another match on the schedule in order to make their team win. Well, if that team feels good about winning in that manner, good for them. But in the long run the true winners will shine.
