Agreed. In today's world you have to be both. A great entertainer and then have talent if you want to make the big money.

I am professional karate athlete (olympic karate ) and I can say that karate is not really in spotlight so there is no much money in it and it means that a champions are a fighters with pure skill and not entertainers
oh man have you ever heard of Steven "Wonderboy" Thompson? His is a UFC fighter...but is a world karate champion. His last 2 fights were for the UFC title but he came up short. A draw and a split decision. But his discipline in Karate prevents him from showboating or being disrespectful to his opponents. Despite that he is a fan favorite. One of the few guys that is respected for who he is and his skill set. He is the ONLY fighter in the UFC with that high level Karate skill set.
I just watched hus highlights and was really amazed. That punch-kick combos are awsome. I dont think he was WKF karate athlete (olympic karate) but it is obvious that he is great karateka
