This is another one of the drills we like to do in our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Classes. This drill from the guard is great Great for endurance, and timing of counters. If your training for sport, fitness or self defense you can benefit from drills like this. Grab your BJJ training buddy and give it a try.
Start by going for the Kimura Sweep from the bottom of the guard.
Person on top counters the sweep attempt by pushing forward.
Person on bottom drags the arm over their head, shifts their hips out to the side and proceeds to take the back.
This works well for GI, NO GI and MMA.
