Although it was two seasons ago, it seemed like only yesterday when As Monaco FC stunned France by wrestling the French league 1 title out of the grasp of their rivals Paris Saint Germaine.PSG had been the most dominant force in France for the past 4 seasons,winning the league and defending their title in successive fashion,but by the end of 2016,it was inevitable that France was going to crown a new champion. Not only did Monaco stroll easily to the title by a great point lead between their rivals and scoring more than 90 goals in the league, but they managed to reach the champions league semi -final that year. Overall, it was a season not to forget for the then head coach,Leonardo Jardim.
Fast forward to today and Monaco is currently in 19th place in the league after recently playing a 2-2 home draw with Dijon. The appointment of former football legend was thought to have been a solution, but if anything, it's stagnant.Where did it go wrong for this great team?
