RE: ADSactly Sports - Violence in sports. When is it too much?

Sport vs Violence, very good post adsactly
It is assumed that sport is an activity that originated in the eighteenth century, primitive men practiced sport as an act of their culture, practiced running, swimming, jumping ...
It is presumed that violence is an act of attacking another individual to destroy it.
You say in the text "The main objective of any competition is to win", however, when the goal goes beyond a trophy it is considered a large sum of money and is projected to damage, mistreat and even damage or kill the opponent to Reach your goal. Unacceptable is an overwhelming act that should not be transmitted by the media because it promotes violence, from any point of view, this violent act should not be called sport.
I am sure that all competitors have a desire to win, but in that desire can show the best or the worst of itself, but nonetheless, in sports disciplines there are rules that regulate the game and each player or team must know.
What are your feelings about acts of violence in sports? I can say that I am against this act simply because the violence does not lead to anything positive and if it is televised less positive it is because it does not project good aspects for young people who are preparing to be professional athletes.
Do you like to see these violent acts or do you feel that they should be eliminated as much as possible? I consider that every violent act must be rejected from all points of view, I believe that it should be progressively reduced as much as possible, without affecting the sport itself.
What impact could it have on the specific sport to eliminate violent plays? We must be aware that it can cause reactions in the fans, in the athletes, in the team owners, in the investors, but it is not about eliminating the sport but making changes that reduce the prevailing violence in sports games.

Thanks for the detailed responses to my questions. I can see you put some thought into them. It is certainly not a black and white issue but rather there is a lot of gray when looking at violence in sports.
