Åre Ski Resort Day 1 and 2

in #sports3 years ago (edited)

I am back from Sweden, from the mountain ski trip. What an awesome 4 days we had on the mountain. This is my first time going abroad for mountain skiing and now I can see why everybody from Estonia says that if you go abroad once, you never want to mountain ski in Estonia again. This is right, Estonia only has small hills compared to Åre ski resort I went.

For days 1 and 2 we were not able to go to the top of the mountain, the lifts were closed due to strong wind. It was mostly cloudy also so we would not have seen anything from the top anyway.

No worries that we could not go to the top because this ski resort has so many trails you can ski that I really cant count.

Of course, there are trails for every skill level, green for first-timers, blue for people who can already ski, red trails are basically for people who know well how to ski, they can be quite steep also. Then there are black sections that are really steep and If you don't know how to slow down properly stay off of them.

I am pretty good on skis but even I stayed away from black trails on the first days.

Here I am on the red slope, you can get a glimpse of what it looks like.

All the pictures are taken with a phone.

Some really cool photos coming in the next posts when we were actually able to go to the top, stay tuned.
