Houston had struggled offensively in this series but that all changed in the third quarter tonight. The Rockets trailed in the second quarter before finishing the half strong and taking a one point lead. They blew that lead wide open after halftime thanks to an absolutely dominating performance from James Harden. Harden scored 22 of his 36 points in the third quarter, single handedly outscoring Minnesota for the third quarter.

The third quarter was a reminder to everyone how good Houston is when they are clicking on all cylinders. It was a reminder why they are the number one seed in the West. It was a reminder why Harden is a lock for the MVP. It was a reminder that the Warriors will have their work cut out for them in order to return to the NBA Finals.
This years playoff race has more questions and promise than previous years and I am excited to see how it plays out. I like the Rockets chance to go all the way, especially if they can continue to play like they did in the third quarter tonight.
