I'm going to be starting a series breaking down the NFL drafts from 2000 all the way to 2016. In this I'll list all the first round picks and surprise picks from other rounds. I'll also give my thoughts on the best selections. The draft is where NFL franchises are made, especially corner stone players that last 10 years on a given team, let's look back and see how all our teams did!

You can find the other drafts below:

🏈Looking Back In History: 2007 NFL Draft🏈

First Round:

Marshawn Lynch, Darell Revis, Patrick Willis and Calvin Johnson.....Does it get better than that? I can't even begin to imagine how Raiders fans feel about taking Russel over Calvin, that'll keep you up at night lolol. Real talk these players mean a lot to the NFL crowd as they made the NFL what it is...Hard physical football. Straight up talent and work ethic made these men and a whole generation of inspiring athletes look up to them. Calvin Johnson should go down as the most talented receiver of all time, with people debating with legacy with Jerry Rice and talent with Randy Moss. Patrik Willis is an NFL OG and is respected by everyone. Only Patrick Willis can be mentioned in the same sentence as Ray Lewis. Annnnnnd Revis Island, that became an NFL saying for years! All in all this first round re-cap belongs to Marshawn, Calvin, Revis and Willis...

Later Rounds:

Paul Posluszny and Eric Weddle stand out in the early 2nd, both lockdown players for their franchises. Marshall Yanda stands out in the 3rd as an absolute steal as he's turned in to a year in year out All-Pro! I wish I could add more but this draft laaaaacks later on, probably because the 1st round was so huge!!!
