Eusébio da Silva Ferreira was a Portuguese footballer who played like an attacker. Eusebius is considered by many to be one of the greatest players of all time. He was known for his speed, technique, athleticism and wild right-hand drive, which made him a prolific shotmaker. He is considered the best-known athlete of the Benfica S.L. and the Portuguese national team and one of the first African athletes in the world.

Eusebio helped Portugal to third place in the 1966 World Cup, was the best scorer in the nine-goal tournament (including four in the North Korea game) and won the Bronze Ball. Ferenc Puskás was a Hungarian footballer considered one of the greatest players of all time. As a prolific forward, he scored 84 goals in 85 international matches in Hungary and 514 goals in 529 matches in the Hungarian and Spanish leagues. He became the Olympic champion in 1952 and led his country to the World Cup final in 1954, where he was recognized as the tournament's best player. He won three European Cups (1959, 1960, 1966), 10 national championships (5 Hungarian and 5 Spanish First Division) and 8 individual first places.

Michel Francois Platini is a former French footballer and administrator. Platini, one of the greatest players of all time, won the Golden Ball three times in 1983, 1984 and 1985. In recognition of his achievements in 1985 he was named Chevalier of the Legion of Honor and the officer made 1988.
