Philadelphia Union captain Alejandro Bedoya created an important scene and made his feelings known after scoring a goal against DC United on Sunday night, picking up a pitch-side microphone to send a very important message to Congress.
The 32-year-old striker brought attention to this weekend's massive shooting in Ohio and Texas when he shouted: "Hey Congress, do something now. End gun violence. Let's go!" It's a rare event but definitely a great message for everyone.
I hope the Congress knows that.
