Last night the L.A. Lakers played the Timberwolves. D'Angelo Russell nailed a buzzer beater for the win from 3. Right after he hit it, he ran up to the stands to hug his family. People wondered why, but the reason he did is because his grandma died that morning. Here is what he said in his post-game press conference.
"R.I.P. my granny, man, found out my granny was dead this morning, man. That's tragic, thats Gods hands. Man, I can't really control that, that was God making that shot. That was shot was for my granny, man. I wasn't even going to play tonight. Honestly man, that's all God right there."
It was an emotional time for him during that game, but he got it done. He dropped 16 points. 4 boards, 4 assists, and 3 steals. That was all done for his Granny. My prayers go out to D Loading and his family.
