After a monster performance on Friday night by Lebron James, the Cleveland Cavs wasted no time in getting back to their losing ways. The Cavs have lost 4 of 5 games after another home loss yesterday. The 1-8 Atlanta Hawks flew into Cleveland and beat the Cavs after leading the entire game. The Cavs were down by 16 points in the first quarter as the Hawks scored 37 points in the first.
It has been a pathetic effort this year at home for Cleveland. They have been double digit favorites in 4 games and have only won once. Losses to the Hawks, Knicks and Nets are embarrassing and there is no end in sight. Is this the beginning of the end for Lebron James? Well, it may be the end of him in Cleveland at least. Lebron will be a free agent when the season ends. Cheers!
Yea, it really has been some ugly basketball. Offence is not the problem. They just can't seem to commit for 48 mins on the defensive end. They'll have 2 good stops and score on the fast break but then feel like they've done enough and fall asleep. It really is just about the effort. You can't tell me that players like Love, Thompson, and Green are not good enough to play with LBJ and be above .500.
I do think they will turn it around somewhat though. If the bucks, Raps, or Wizards make a trade deadline move and add reinforcements then LBJ might actually miss the playoffs.
Its early, the King will take back his throne
Wow didn't look at their record until now... That is embarrassing!
Nice article, like your writing style.
It's early. LeBron has shown time and again that he reaches another level come playoff time. I'd be concerned at the quarter mark of the season. It's tough when you surround the greatest player in the league with one dimensional players like Calderon, Korver, Green, frye, Shumpert. Once IT returns we'll see if they are in real trouble.
