As a follower of the Atlantic League due to my home team the High Point Rockers being in that league it was announced earlier today that the Lexington Legends has joined the league! The Kentucky based team has been around for the past 20 years being in the South Atlantic League being affiliated with the Houston Astros from 2001-2012 and the Kanas City Royals from 2013-2020.
It seems this team has a good following and can't wait to see them play against us this season! With two new teams both this one and the Gastonia Honey Hunters it will make things more interesting this upcoming season. There's no official schedule yet but i hope we can see some baseball this season with covid restrictions not being as strict as it was last season where we had no season at all! Will keep yall informed once news breaks on the upcoming season.
