Ferrari and Vettel failed in home race

It was Monza time last weekend- in the home of the Reds. Monza is considered as a race track that combines speed with skill. The Ferrari backgrounds adds a major flavour to it of course. Sad races also include the history of this circuit that has been built in 1922. The emotional Italians call it 'La Pista Magica', the magic track - this year it was all about the duel between Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.

Former Champion Rosberg about the duel 2018

Nico Rosberg has been quoted again criticising fellow countryman Sebastian Vettel for not being able to use weak races of Lewis Hamilton. He thinks Vettel was not consistently enough exploiting these Hamilton phases. The quotes are from an interview with the Italian publication "Gazzetta dello Sport" before the Italian GP.

He also claimed Sebastian would usually tend to blame others if he is not winning. And Nico was right again - Vettel and Hamilton crashed - Hamilton won the race, Vettel finished 4th and he blamed Hamilton (again).

Rosberg who was F1 World Champion 2016 is not known as a big friend of Lewis, nor is he one of Sebastian. He admits it was a lot of bad luck, but also own mistakes that cost Vettel important points in the duel of the four-time champions. Given the new Ferrari strength he still bets that Vettel will win the race. So is this his opinion or just the try to become some more media visibility again after he retired a bit early following his World Championship Victory 2 years ago?

Nico Rosberg?

Nico was one of the young talents in Formula One racing since he joined as a young talent but he did not have the killer instinct other champions had - my point of view. He drove for Williams F1 and Mercedes AMG Petronas where he finally became World Champion 2016. Before joining F1 in 2006 he won the GP2 Series and stayed with Williams four years. Nowadays he works as German TV expert and Mercedes ambassador.
