Just before Rally Catalunya, T.Neuville said that he will for sure be World Rally Champion for 2017. To remind you: he retired on Sunday and lost all chances to score any points. His rival and Championship leader Ogier scored 2nd place and some points from Power Stage
Now the difference between this two drivers is 39 points.
There are two events left in 2017: Walles and Australia. That also means maximum 60 points left (25 for the win and 5 for power stage won per event).
Now Neuville needs that Ogier retires on one or both events to win the Championship. And Ogier is known as a consistent driver.
AND ALSO: Estonian Tanak took 2nd place from Neuville by 1 point and it's even harder now.
