How Can You Feel Comfortable in Gym

in #sports7 years ago

All the beginners feel shy when the enter into the gym because they think that they have to compete with the other. They do not try different exercises because thy think that they will feel embarrass if they fail to do that completely. Not only beginner but also some professional feel shy to come out of their shell.

As a beginner best way is to get comfortable with some exercise like push-ups and pull-ups at home so that you can feel comfortable in the gym. Next way is to find some friend who has gym equipment in his home and you feel good in his company or you can buy some dumbbells and a bench if you can afford them.

The next advice is to do not compare your gains or weight that you lift with the others because there can always be a guy who can be more muscular then you so your goal should be make improvements in your weight that you lift day by day.

Good post. It's important to let people know :)

Person can feel comfortable in gym if he sticks to himself there...have a perfect diet and ofcorse good trainer.....stick to diet chart ...and persistence.....thats all in my opinion....

your opinion has all the necessary instructions.

A lot of mistake done by the 1st timer going to the gym. They tend to follow the crowd without knowing theif right limit.

My advice is to learn from an expert and ask before you do an exercise in gym

"Every Professional was Once a Beginner", actually there are so many people who is very willing to help out in gym.

most of them can disturb ones workout plan that's why it is very important to ignore some extra instructions.

My advice would be is to openly ask for help.

In my experience people in the gym are more than willing to help you out. Some even go too far and offer you unsolicited advice :)

Basically, don't go to the gym and pretend to know more than you really do. Don't try to impress anyone. Know your limits. Be modest, ask for help and you'll be fine.

I totally agree with this advice. Oh and always wipe down the equipment you've been using and things should be fine.

Hope I’m not going to offend anyone here but the answer is really simple, who cares about what others think at the gym. Do your own work out, worry about yourself.

A lion does not concern itself with the opinions of sheep.

Nice post it's helpful for those who join jym and it's also full of knowledge thanks

Interesting post.

how do i get up from my comfort zone? i knew i had to hit the gym but i don't just get to do so. i always come up with reasons why i should take a few more days off before hitting the gym.

Just do the one exercise you like most the first day without caring about anything else.

improvements will be seen only if you implement the principle of progressive overload and adequate nutrition and rest.
