US Darts Masters, Cornhole Board DIY, Practice Tip,
Wow mid-July already. We are halfway through the Summer League Season for most, and the first couple of teams are beginning to sign up for Fall Leagues.
(more on this a little later)
Okay, to lead off, PDC US Darts Masters kicked off this week in Las Vegas...
Anybody who has ever put a toe to the oche, dreams of being good enough to play in a major tournament. First Qualifiers were last night and two Americans qualified for the tournament and have a chance at living that dream.... here's the link

Practice Routine Tip
- Practice, practice, practice..and we'll get better. Well, yes and no. Just going through the motions will give you muscle memory. But, make sure it is the muscle memory you are looking for.
Practicing without focus isn't going to make sloppy form or lack of follow through go away, it will only make it more difficult to change... Unless you concentrate on the proper form, you won't eliminate the bad habits. Once you get to a certain level, practicing just to practice will actually stall your performance, make it plateau.
If you want to get better, look at the fundamentals and choose one or two to work on during practice. And FOCUS on doing these correctly. Chase away all of the other conversations in your head and just think about and work on the mechanics of what you are trying to improve. You may look like shit the first couple of attempts, but that's what practice is for...
Damn Cornhole Boards are Expensive!
Checking out the prices on the web and in retail stores for two boards with a hole cut in them and some catchy design. Oh yeah, there's a couple of bags filled with corn which come with them. Guess what? $150+ for a decent looking finished set...
Well...Here's a DIY vid I found and have used to make my own. There are thousands of instructional videos out there on this, I just liked this guy's videos. Subscribe to his channel if you like it (we are not affiliated)... or just run a search, because some of the 'how to build a cornhole set' videos have some crazy extras including scoring lights, beer holders, retractable measuring strings, etc. built into the boards and you go as McGyver as you like!
What is the single most important piece of equipment for a successful league night (or day)?
That's easy, Beer!
If you already have a favorite, no problem. But, if you're like me and enjoy trying a new beer every now with your social sports, feel free to post a link to your steemit beer review in the comments section!
At some point I'll take a stab at reviewing a beer or two which goes well with Social Sports, but strictly from an amateur's perspective and definitely according to my individual tastes. Reviewing beer is like practicing a sport: there is a certain set of rules, form, etc. that I'm sure more than a couple of you guys and gals out there are much better at than humble me...
On the next theLEAGUEFEED: If you've ever had the itch to play, we'll talk about finding leagues, which sports may interest you (there's a ton of them), and how to start a league if there aren't any choices near you!
If learning to play these sports, from how to find a league to sign up with, through all stages of learning the game you choose interests you, along with setting up and running leagues, well give me a follow.
If you are posting anything along these lines, leave me know. If it's quality I would love to resteem!
Building Stronger Leagues is name of the game....
and don't forget to Feed the Leagues!
