The Previous Gameweek 14 showed some surprisingly good performances, victories and defeats. This is the beauty of the Premier League; the burst of emotions, tears in one’s eyes and the unpredictable outcomes.
As we approach the festive period, games will be coming quicker as usual. Here are my previews and predictions for Gameweek 15:
Bournemouth vs Huddersfield
Bournemouth suffer their 4th consecutive defeat. It hasn’t been easy for them, however, as 3 out of 4 of those games were against top tier clubs. They cannot take Huddersfield to lightly though as they will look to get back their form after a narrow defeat to Brighton and Hove.
Huddersfield showed a terrible display at home to Brighton and Hove in Gameweek 14. They defeat has pushed them down close to the bottom 3 at the end of the Gameweek 14. Though Bournemouth have had their misfortunes this season, The Terries cannot bank on that if they are looking for a win and moving away from their current position.
Vote: Bournemouth Win
Brighton and Hove vs Crystal Palace
Brighton and Hove are slowly starting to look brighter this time around. Their away victory to formidable opponents Huddersfield has pushed them further away from the bottom 3 and possibly towards greater heights. With a home advantage, they still face a fearless Crystal Palace side that will not take them granted.
Crystal Palace are continuing to show their bravery. A performance against Burnley in Gameweek 14 proved they are not only brave but daring to do whatever it takes to win a match. Brighton and Hove will not take them likely even though they have the home advantage, which will be stiff contest for Eagles.
Vote: Crystal Palace Win
West Ham United vs Cardiff
West ham did not back against Newcastle in Gameweek 14. After “Hammering the Nail” they will to moving u the table, however Cardiff will not make it easy for them as they aim to do the same.
Cardiff’s comeback against the Wolves showed that they still have a good fighting spirit. They have not been great away from home but can still exude that fighting spirit against the Hammers to salvage out of it.
Vote: West Ham United Win
Watford vs Manchester City
Watford may be showing their fans that they may be losing their grip. Though their fighting spirit was high against Leicester City it did not stop them from suffering another defeat. They are winless in 4 games and though they have home advantage in this game they face powerful Manchester City side.
Manchester City are still a dominant force yet to be seriously challenged. A bit of scare against Bournemouth in Gameweek 14 did not stop them from 6th straight win. They are confident and will look to open a gap against those chasing them down for their title.
Vote: Manchester City Win
Burnley vs Liverpool
Burnley were no match of Palace side that were raging for victory. They have been under the weather in recent games especially at home; which they generally are pretty impressive. Liverpool are team that enjoys scoring and will keep on doing so if Burnley are not in tip-top form them in this game.
Liverpool’s Merseyside victory was another stepping stone of they determination this season. Home and away they show that they will continue pressing until they get to the top. They will not allow Burnley to stand in their way even though their defense is still questionable.
Vote: Liverpool Win
Everton vs Newcastle
The narrow Merseyside defeat in Gameweek 14 was disheartening to both the players and travelling fans. Everton have had the upper hand against Newcastle in their last 5 games; winning all of them and leaving Newcastle goalless in those games. But with their form also questionable this will not be a walk in the park for them.
Newcastle seem to be running out of ideas. A dreadful defeat at home to West Ham are slowly making them sink down the table as other teams slowly rise. Their game against Everton away will be a difficult test thought they may be able to bounce back if they up a good display against a broken-willed Everton.
Vote: Newcastle Win
Fulham vs Leicester City
Fulham are still bottom of the table. They seem to be finding it hard to break down other teams in league. As games continue to come fast at this time of the year, it is becoming questionable if they will survive festive period. Leicester City will be tough opponents for them, though they can show a good display provided their determination to want to stay in the league.
Leicester City are poised with confidence as they are undefeated in 5 games. After a brilliant victory against Watford they will not hesitate to take their fighting spirit to Craven Cottage and clinch their 4th away win of the season.
Vote: Leicester City Win
Wolverhampton vs Chelsea
After allowing a lead to slip out of their hands, Wolverhampton may have lost an opportunity to slowly edge in to the top 10. Wolves may be damaged but not broken and will face a tough Chelsea side that are getting back to winning ways.
Chelsea came out triumphant form their west London derby against Fulham. Though they manage to hold a good position in the League this far, they form is still being criticized. The Wolves will likely carry their previous display and probably more to this game, thus The Blues cannot afford to slip points at this point of the League if they want to remain contenders.
Vote: Chelsea Win
Manchester United vs Arsenal
Manchester United and their manager, Jose Mourinho, are still under constant criticism. A draw against a wobbly Southampton was displeasing to the fans. They face Arsenal, a team that is unbeaten in 12 games and have come from an impressive north London derby victory. They have had a good record against Arsenal over the past few years. This will be a big test to prove if they are still a strong side.
Arsenal and their fans are drooling over they north London victory to Tottenham Hotspur. Their confidence level has surely risen this season and with an impressive run this far they will surely go into this game with victory in mind. The cannot underestimate Man U, however, as the Red Devils will not make it easy for them as they have done in recent years.
Vote: Manchester United Win
Tottenham Hotspur vs Southampton
After suffering another derby defeat at the Emirates, the Spurs will look on to take a Southampton side that been slacking most of the season. They have the home advantage and will look to get back to winning ways.
Southampton showed a better display against Manchester United. A draw against them may be starting point to their recovery in the season. They face Tottenham away from home which will not be easy for them considering the current from this season.
Vote: Tottenham Hotspur Win
A hot build up to the festive period and test for teams to see who is fit to win the lead and be in the league.
Looking through the fixtures I may disagree with you on a few of them. Here are my predictions:
Bournemouth to beat Huddersfield 2-0
Brighton and Crystal Palace to draw 1-1
Manchester City to beat Watford 3-0
Liverpool to beat Burnley 2-0
Everton to beat Newcastle 2-0
Fulham and Leicester to draw 1-1
Wolverhampton and Chelsea to draw 1-1
Arsenal to beat Manchester United 2-1
Tottenham to beat Southampton 2-0
