A Professional Daily Fantasy Sports Player Converting Into a Professional Sports Bettor
So yesterday wasn’t the greatest day because I did five inning bets and the Red Sox were down after five even though they won the game.
That was a big mistake on my end because I liked Perez and I completely forgot the Rangers have one of the worst bullpens in the league.
Live and learn, today I have one game that is really sticking out to me and may be the only bet I have today but am considering betting about three times as much as I normally do taking a “shot” to bump up my bankroll.
I don’t do this often, but looking at the fantasy data something sticks out like and I may have found a big edge.
If you look at today's slate you will notice the team with the biggest money line is the Mets. As well as they should be the biggest favorites because they have DeGrom pitching against an unknown pitcher making a debut.
That’s probably enough for people to load up on the Mets tonight but if you dig deeper, taking the Mets to win isn’t the correct bet today.

DeGrom is going against Lamet and we already know the upside of DeGrom. But Lamet is a top prospect who’s averaging 10 strikeouts per nine innings in every level that he’s pitched in.
I’ve seen the Mets multiple times burn people because they can’t get runs on the board when they have a top match up, and this may look like one but I assure you it isn’t!
I’m going back to the well and am taking the five inning under 4 as well as the whole game under 7.5.
I would not be surprised if this game ends 2-1 and even though the Mets should win, don’t be surprised if they make you sweat the whole game.
They have been on fire offensively lately but have been going up against pitchers who have a long track record of being awful.
This game is weather permitted though so make sure you keep up on the weather. It should play and should be humid meaning the ball won’t travel as much as it would on a clear 80 degree day.
This only helps our cause since we want the ball to stay in the park today

I always get nervous with DeGrom on the mound. Maybe it's because he's burned me but he definitely has shut down stuff. I'm curious to see this Lamet guy today too and like the idea of him playing to his competitors level
Yeah it will be interesting to see if this plays out like I described. I'm pretty confident though.
