A Professional Daily Fantasy Sports Player Converting Into a Professional Sports Bettor
Hello and thanks for reading my pick column this Tuesday!
If this is your first time reading this I’m an ex daily fantasy sports player who is using all the information I get for DFS and applying it to baseball wagering.
Full Slate of Games Today
It’s Tuesday so that means we have a full slate today and two things stick out to me today.
First is that Chris Sale is on the mound (against his former team) and the Rockies are playing at home. Chris Sale has been a top pitcher this year and he’s facing his former teammate and friend Jose Quintana.
Quintana has kind of been all over the map this year and while the play would seem like it’s the Red Sox to win, I think the smart money's on the under.
The Red Sox have been struggling against left handed pitching this year and rank in the bottom of the league. Quintana has a long history of pitching well against the Red Sox and I like that to continue today.
I don’t need to tell how well Chris Sale has been this year so I’m going to take the under 4 in the five inning bet.
While I think it’s possible Sale gives up a run or two, I don’t want this bet to be determined by the bullpen and that’s why I’m taking the five inning bet.
Mariners vs Rockies
Speaking of teams that are on the bottom of the league when it comes to left handed pitching, we have the Mariners facing Tyler Anderson in Coors.
This isn’t much of a surprise considering that the Mariners have about 4 stud left handed batters. Even though they get a huge ball park bump, I don’t like Seattle bats and would probably fade them if I was playing DFS today.
But all the experts are projecting a big game from the Rockies today and even though I’m not a big fan of the run line, I wouldn’t blame you if you take the extra juice and take the Rockies to win by at least two.
I could see this being 10-3 honestly.

What's Up with the Rangers
What is going on with Texas?
They got Adrian Beltre back and I think he’s going to help motivate his team and their offense is starting to click.
Nick Martinez is a horrible MLB pitcher and it’s a common theme to stack against him as well.
If you look at both teams' pro trends, you will notice that there are a lot of them on both sides of the plate today.
I’m hoping we see more of the same from yesterday's 10-8 game and I’m taking over ten runs this game!
Cubs & Padres
I’m a believer in Lamet’s pitching for the Padres.
He’s a top prospect and last time I wrote an article I had the under on his game and won.
I’m going back to the well because I think he does a good job against limiting the Cubs scoring.
Eddie Butler is a top ground ball pitcher and he’s improving his control which is good considering his walks were his biggest flaw.
But he is going up against San Diego and their bats scare no one so I like Under 8 runs in this game.
So To Recap
CHI/BOS under 4 after five innings
Rockies -135
TEX/TB over 10
Cubs/SD under 8
People may be all over the Blue Jays today but I can’t really get behind that considering Happ is making his first game back from elbow injury, and I’d like to take a wait and see approach.
I’m sure the Blue Jays will give Happ plenty of run support but don’t feel comfortable.
Good luck!
Thanks for reading!

I'm thinking of picking Lamit up in my season long league, good luck today! I hope the Red Sox don't blow up on quintana but if he has a history of pitching well, that looks good
Thanks for the comment, good luck to you too!
