AP250 ARRC Suzuka: Rheza Menang, Kawasaki Masuk Gravel
Pembalap Indonesia, Rheza Danica Ahrens akhirnya kembali meraih podium pertama dalam kejuaran Asia Road Racing Championship atau ARRC kelas Asia Production 250cc di Sirkuit Suzuka, Jepang, Sabtu 2 Juni 2018. Rheza mampu mendominasi balapan dengan membuat gap dengan barisan kedua dengan selisih hingga 5,299 detik. Rheza menyelesaikan balapan dengan catatan waktu 19 menit 52,491 detik
Rheza mengungkapkan dirinya telah percaya diri dari hasil latihan bebas dan kualifikasi selalu meraih catatan terbaik. "Sejak latihan hingga kualifikasi saya konsisten berada di depan. Sejak balapan saya berusaha di depan dengan membuat jarak dengan barisan di belakang dan akhirnya berhasil menang," kata Rheza usai balapan.
Adapun pembalap Indonesia lainnya, Rey Ratukore sukses mempertahankan posisinya di urutan ke-6. Kawasaki Manual Tech yang sukses meraih posisi kedua dalam kualifikasi gagal mempertahankan posisi. Andi Muhammad Fadly terpaksa harus mencium gravel karena ketatnya persaingan pada lap terakhir. Dalam balapan, Fadly berulang kali nyaris bersenggolan salah satunya dengan pembalap wanita Thailand, Muklada Sarapuech. Fadly harus pulang tanpa membawa poin.
Dengan hasil balapan ini, Rheza masih memimpin klasemen dengan 98 poin disusul Mario Aji dan Anupab Sarmoon dengan 82 poin.
