AFCON SEMI FINALS

Finally, the long awaited day for the AFCON 2019 semi finals is here and will be played in Cairo International Stadium, Egypt.
The AFCON semi finals will be a clash of titans between four biggest and strongest team in Africa. Senegal, who has never won the AFCON will be playing Tunisia while Algeria will take on Nigeria.
Today's Semi final clashes will be between two North African nations and two West African counterparts.
Senegal, who are seeking their first trophy, defeated Uganda and Benin in the knockout stages before the semi final. They also registered victories over Kenya and Tanzania in the group stages but lost to Algeria.
Tunisia, made their first win in the tournament when they defeated Madagascar in the quarterfinals. Tunisia and Senegal have met five times in the AFCON and have won a game each in those fixtures. Others were draws.

Nigeria was the first team to qualify for the knockout stages after defeating Burundi and Guinea. They overcame Cameroon and South Africa in the round of 16 and the quarter-finals respectively.

Algeria, who are yet to lose a match in this tournament, have defeated Guinea, Senegal, Kenya, Tanzania and Ivory cost to reach the Semi-final.
