Marcio Lassiter is now in danger of not finishing in the final line-up of Gilas Pilipinas to participate in the FIBA World Cup in China.
Lassiter is expected to lose as much as six weeks and it will not play in the rest of the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup playoffs because of its grade 2 MCL sprain.
Lassiter received the injury after the Northport guard Garvo Lanete's knee struck in the second quarter of the do-or-die game on Wednesday, where San Miguel won.
Lassiter took the game at 3:22 in the first half and was immediately rushed to the Cardinal Santos Medical Center to undergo MRI.
Lassiter, who registered an average of 12.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game, also had a shot in the Gilas pool for the World Cup in China.
Sad to hear this news about him. Couldnt be exciting without him
That's a big blow for the squad already didn't expected that
You are right, this is sad to hear but since they are San Miguel, I know they can still manage.
My apologies, it won't happen again.
