What do you get when you combine a unibrow, a weird laugh, and arguably the greatest NBA player of all time?
The Potential 2019-20 Los Angeles Lakers
Despite having just won an NBA Championship with the Toronto Raptors, Kawhi Leonard is meeting with the Lakers for a potential free agent signing. Yet some still call him the King of the North.
The Lakers just acquired Anthony Davis, somehow right after that they managed to clear the cap space to possibly even bring on Kawhi too. Los Angeles altered its deal with the Pelicans into a three-team-trade that will now also send Mo Wagner, Isaac Bonga, Jemerrio Jones, and a 2022 second-round pick to the Wizards. The Lakers now have an extra $32 million in salary cap space to spend when free agency descends upon the offseason on Sunday.
This would be the newest big three, and what I like to call “Giant 3”. All three of these players are so powerful and dominant that I don’t see much of anyone besides The Greek Freak himself that can stack up effectively.
The Lakers are a NOW team, not a squad of the FUTURE. These actions also leave the Lakers squad pretty dismantled and lacking major talent outside of the three superstars. What about the bench? Will the Giant 3 ever get a break from the action?
What are your thoughts? Do you believe Kawhi is a traitor for leaving a place he didn’t even want to be traded to? Are the Lakers crazy for focusing on three major players instead of the entire roster?

They've already got AD, if they get Leonard as well, will be basically an unstoppable team, providing LeBron comes back healthy and all-which I think he will. (perfect 3 players also to run the 'Triangle offense' :-)
Yes I’m aware AD has been locked in. With Kawhi also, that’s just about as scary as a tsunami hitting LA. I’m sure even then, some of the coaches now in the league will find a weakness in their lineup.
I do agree, this triumvirate has me thinking they’d have a freaking pyramid offense, not just a tiny triangle. These guys can all go berserk!
Kawhi is from San Diego, so I could def see him signing with either LA team: Clippers or Lakers. I’d love to watch the LA teams play each other if Kawhi would happen to sign with the Clippers, and the Lakers maybe add a Kyrie Irving or a D’Angelo Russell? And staying in Toronto makes sense to, He did Win an NBA Championship with that team
Kawhi seems like a down to earth guy that would enjoy being close to home. So some place in southern California makes sense. With that being said, his nice guy side may also make it hard to leave a fanbase that supports him so strongly in Toronto. He’s most likely torn about this decision on the inside.
Seems to me like no matter what the Lakers will be aiming to add another superstar athlete to compete in the West. Perhaps Kyrie or D’Angelo even.
