Today at the age of 39 he currently plays for AC Milan in The Italian Serie A and thanks to the level of competition shown every day by the Swedish national team to decide to put him back on his list of call-ups to defend the yellow jacket in the first two qualifying commitments for Qatar 2022 against Georgia and Kosovo and the friendly against Estonia.

His last match with the Swedish national team was in the group stage of Euro 2016 in which Sweden lost to belgium, but last autumn he did not miss re-participating with the Swedish national team and indicated his desire to return. Today Zlatan is ready to play and he along with his family are very happy with his convocation returned to the team after his retirement in 2016.

They asked him why he came back? and this was answered by the Swede:

"playing on the team is the biggest thing you can do as a footballer, within my feeling that I could help them, I'm playing at a great level"
