Leicester City is not ready to let Wilfred Ndidi leave the club anytime soon as they plan to increase his pay from what he was earning. The club is doing this to wad off the likes of big Spanish teams like Barcelona, who is interested in signing the midfielder this January.
In a bid to keep Ndidi in the club, they have offered a pay rise on his current salary. He was paid 55,000 Euros weekly but would now receive 70,000 Euros weekly. Ndidi's contract was signed in 2018, and it is supposed to end in 2024.
He still has four years left before his contract expires, but the Foxes are scared that Ndidi may leave the club to Barcelona and other top European teams since they can afford to pay huge sums of money.
The Barcelona side had made inquiries about the 22-year-old player. If this inquiry is successful, Ndidi may be on his way to Barcelona for a huge sum of money, and it would be good business for Leicester City. Ndidi is currently the best Premier League midfielder ahead of Pogba, Xhaka, and other players.
Manchester City may also be working behind the scene to have the player as well.
