The 22-year-old Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has so far scored 9 goals in 12 appearances for Chelsea and his coach Frank Lampard is full of praise for the youngster who has had a wonderful start to life at Stamford Bridge.
Though not fortunate enough to score any goal in the game against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon, the Blues boss still praised Abraham's efforts.
Lampard said: “He has been scoring goals regularly but today was not quite the norm. What you do see with Tammy is what you get – physicality and movement. To keep trying and be a problem for the defenders. I have got nice problems up front.
He further said that Tammy was majorly responsible for getting them to where they are at, with his regular goal scoring.
Lampard then called the young striker a sponge due to his keenness to soak up advice.
Tammy is too good, it will be my pleasure to watch him rise through the ranks of his career.
Tammy is very good at Chelsea but he missed a lot of opportunities to score goals in the Saturday afternoon match against Newcastle.
Yes he did, quite unfortunate for him but I know he will make that up.
Tammy's performances has shown that he can do anything at this level and hopefully he can move up the levels even more.”
Yes excellent performance there by Tammy Abraham, Frank Lampard has done a great job.
