Chelsea have the intention of offering a new deal to promising Nigeria-eligible defender Fikayo Tomori, according to reports.
Evening Standard claims the England U21 international is set to hold talks with The Blues over a new deal following his promotion to the first team.
Tomori had been linked with a departure to Everton prior to the close of the summer transfer window but David Luiz's unexpected transfer to Arsenal saw Chelsea pull the plug on his proposed move to the Toffees.
The 21-year-old is contracted to the Stamford Bridge outfit until June 30, 2021, having inked a new deal in August 2016.
Last season, he played his way into the hearts of the Derby County fans on the back of his imperious displays in the Championship as the club narrowly missed promotion to the Premier League.
Tomori faces stiff competition from Antonio Rüdiger, Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma for a spot in Chelsea's central defence in the new season.
He has not added to his solitary appearance for the Europa League holders since May 2016.
